Mental Health Awareness Week

As we approach the end of Mental Health Awareness Week, it is important to maintain this awareness throughout the year not just for one week. Sometimes life can just get you down and you need someone to offer that hand of friendship to pull you up. Whether we know it or not we can all be part of the solution to help someone who is suffering, just be understanding, be kind, take time to listen and give help where you can.

At ACWA we are helping to break down the stigma associated with mental ill health by training our employees in mental health awareness. By giving them the knowledge and understanding it is creating a culture where it is ok to say you are not ok and it is ok to ask for help.

This year the theme for #mentalhealthawarenessweek is #connectwithnature and we have been encouraging our employees to get out at lunch and go for a walk along this beautiful canal.
