Scrubber Effluent Treatment Plant

A Scrubber Effluent Treatment Plant (SET Plant) treats the effluent produced by a Scrubber that cleans up flue gas from an incinerator.

The SET Plant removes contaminants, such as mercury, heavy metals, (including copper, cadmium, lead, nickel, zinc, arsenic) and inert solid particles from the liquid streams. to a standard that meets the Waste Incineration Directive EC2000/76 for discharge to a wastewater treatment facility or direct to watercourse.

ACWA Services Ltd. has over 15 years experience in the design, installation and commissioning of SET Plants for both sewage sludge incinerator liquors and industrial waste incinerator liquors. ACWA has installed plant ranging from 8m³/hr to 30m³/hr for a range of contaminants with all plants treating to a standard suitable for direct discharge to watercourse.
