ACWA AIR’S GAS CLEANING PLANT HELPS GLASS PRODUCER

ACWA AIR’s third gas cleaning and energy recovery package is successfully helping the Chinese to reduce their carbon footprint.

The plant at Changshu on the Chinese eastern seaboard, operates a chemical vapour deposition (CVD) plant producing Pilkington’s Energy AdvantageTM low-e glass. This one glass plant, operated as a joint venture between China’s Shanghai Yaohua Pilkington Glass and the UK Pilkington Group Ltd will allow the Chinese to take 120,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per year from their emissions by making their buildings more thermally efficient.

ACWA Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Outstanding Business Wins

International air, water and effluent treatment specialist ACWA is celebrating its 25th anniversary with significant contract wins both in the UK and overseas.

Recent major achievements in the UK include deals to provide the Company’s robust and popular Nitreat®, nitrate removal system at three of Anglian Water’s water treatment works, two at Cambridge Water’s treatment works and one at a Thames Water site. The company has also won a significant contract from Yorkshire Water to provide additional control systems for its Naburn sludge treatment facilities.

ACWA wins key Coca-Cola Enterprises contract

International air, water and effluent treatment specialist ACWA has won a highly prestigious contract to supply Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) with a de-alkaliser for its Sidcup site, in preparation for a predicted surge in demand for products in the Coca-Cola portfolio during the Olympics next year.

The site is installing a fourth filling line to increase its capacity during this key event, which will draw millions of sports fans from around the globe to the London area.
